Celebrate the beauty of the winter season by creating a beautiful 10" x 10" fused glass snowflake! In this festive workshop, you'll design a sparkling winter-inspired artwork using rhombus-shaped glass pieces arranged in traditional and creative snowflake patterns. Draw inspiration from the colors of winter, incorporating clears, emeralds, icy blues, and snowy whites to create a unique piece that captures the beauty of a winter wonderland.
Participants will learn the basics of working with fusible glass, including glass-cutting techniques, design layout, and assembly. Students may choose to work with pre-cut rhombus pieces or learn how to cut their own glass during class. The project is designed for all skill levels and offers a fun, relaxing introduction to fused glass art.
A $50 supply fee is payable directly to the instructor at class, cash only. The fee includes all glass, materials, kiln firing, and supplies needed to complete your first project.
After class, your single-layer, 10" x 10" snowflake will remain at the studio to be tack-fused in the kiln, preserving the texture and dimension of the individual glass pieces. You will be notified when your finished artwork is ready for pickup.
Students who finish early and would like to create an additional snowflake will have the option to complete a second piece for an additional materials fee, payable directly to the instructor.
